FAQ

What is rendering?
Rendering is an automatic process for generating a photo-realistic or non-photorealistic image from a 2D or 3D model (or models, which together can be called a scene file) using computer programs. The results of displaying such a model is called a render. A scene file contains objects in a strictly defined language or data structure that processes information about geometry, viewpoint, texture, lighting, and darkening as a description of a virtual scene. The data contained in the scene file is then transferred to a rendering program for processing and outputting to a digital image file or a raster graphic image.
